Shep was always interested in appearing in stage productions. None of them were 'classics' and in 1958 he mentions to John Cassvettes that he was writing a musical. There was a outline dated September 11, 1958 that he was working on which surfaced in the Lois Nettleton estate, but details are not yet available.
