Famous band leader Frederick Stock was the director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1905-42. Shep mentions him in that Grant Park concert on the 2/14/64 show. Grant Park is right on the lakefront, just a few blocks from Orchestral Hall, where the CSO plays to this day.
