When it was "up to date, comprehensive news" only H.G. Grubbage could be trusted to report it. This is British accented, gruff voiced character Shep portrayed on the radio for many years in order to deliver many of the rather strange news stories he would come up with to report. It was usually accompanied by the playing of Le Prophete: Coronation March in the background.
