The Clown

Show Description
A Cover right of Castro Cuba introduces us to Shel Silverstein, a voice kept in shape with Clorox on the rocks. It is assisted by the Red Onion Jazz Band on a raucous set of ballads, loosely identified as "Hairy Jazz" (Elektra 176). The album notes, by the Mid-West existentialist Jean Shepherd, are appropriately inappropriate. They do help to classify Mr. Silverstein as a creature of many moods though; from tragic Pagliacci of "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now" to the energetic Figaro humor of "Pass Me By."
