On November 18, 1962 ABC filmed a pilot for a new show called "Hooenanny" which would be taped at a different college campus each week. This one was at Syracuse University. Jean Shepherd was the host of the show for this pilot, but before it aired, he was replaced by Jack Linkletter and the scenes with Shepherd were cut and replaced by ones with Linkletter.
Shep also wrote a column for the first issue of Hootenanny Magazine. (See link below) |
