This picture was taken
around 1953 during a local Jean Shepherd broadcast. Many people were not
aware that Jean did an area talk show on KYW Radio. It was the last show
Jean did at the “Town Room” of the Sheraton Hotel at 39th and Walnut
Street in West Philadelphia. If one looks very carefully at "the Jean
Shepherd Show" sign, you will see a real Lily flower just on top of the
word show. Broadcast Pioneers member Bud Galow says: The Cutie
female whose face you can clearly see is my first wife Fay Galow. She died
quite suddenly in 1989 and I have since remarried..
