MP3s on CD-R

First, a word about this method of collecting and storing audio - MP3 is a computer file compression method that greatly reduces the size of .wav (audio) files.  This allows many more programs to be stored on a CDR disc or portable playback device.  The compression rate is variable - the lower the compression, the larger the file.
Old-time radio show collecting has seen a resurgence, thanks to file sharing over the Internet. In my opinion, however, this has led to a loss in audio quality of many of the programs, due to over-compression of the audio in order to save bandwidth.  I am listing the following discs from a number of sources, but I’m grading them as to quality and file size.

Note: The program files on these discs cannot be played in a regular CD player.  They can be played on the computer with nearly any audio program, such as Windows Media Player, WinAmp, or RealPlayer, as well as many newer home DVD players, or you can load them into portable MP3 devices.  Special Note: Each disc counts as one selection!

Good Quality 44/48 to 44/64 Mono

X MINUS ONE - The complete NBC Science-Fiction Series on 2 Discs 1955-1957 (counts as two selections)
125 shows, plus about a dozen Dimension X and more.
About 80% of these shows are done in decent-quality 64k,
the rest are 32, a few as low as 24.  Too many titles to list.
Counts as two selections.  Thanks to Jim Freund

ABBOTT AND COSTELLO - 2 DISCS
mostly 44/48 - Counts as two selections
DISC ONE  1940-45 - 46 shows and even a video clip
DISC TWO 1945-49 - 46 shows plus pictures and documents

Mediocre (Standard) Quality - 22/32 Mono
This is the standard sample rate for OTR shows in common usage
For those who want quantity, not quality.

VIC & SADE - all existing shows on 2 discs, at least it seems to be!  The quality is overall the best I've heard on many of these shows. This set includes more than 80 recently discovered programs, and all the old ones. Highly recommended!  This despite the fact that some idiot decided to encode most of them at 11/32 Stereo.
Counts as two selections.
DISC ONE
  1937-42 - 172 Shows, 36 ½ hours
DISC TWO 1942-46 - 164 shows, 38+ hours, including the 1945 revival series and ½-hour Summer shows.

BOB & RAY - 4 DISCS - The contents of these are all different, although there may be a lot of overlap over the course of the discs.  However, due to the large number of shows, how can you go wrong?  Each disc is one selection.
Vol 1 OTR Shows 1949-1958 - 31 hours
Vol 2 OTR Shows - 34 hours
B&R V1 OTR.net - 33 1/2 hours
B&R V2 OTR.net - 1959-1973 - 31 hours

THE SHADOW - 3 Discs 22/32 - counts as three selections
Most existing shows, but many mis-labeled shows - repeats often used with incorrect dates to replace missing episodes..
DISC ONE 1937 to 1940 - 34 Orson Welles shows, 44 Bill Johnstone shows, several fakes also (not counted in totals)
DISC TWO 1940 to 1946 - 43 Bill Johnstone shows, 32 Bret Morrison shows, and John Archer and Australian shows.
DISC THREE 1947 to 1954 - c. 65 Bret Morrison shows, plus photos, documentaries, and the Leo 1960s LP.
