By now,
our regular readers have come to know and appreciate Jean
Shepherd's traumatically uproarious trips into his childhood, and
this month's long voyage home, Waldo Grebb and His Electric
Baton, should further enhance Shepherd's reputation as the
Gibbon of the Midwest. Jean is about to begin work on a film
documentary for Louis DeRochemont dealing with teenage social
problems, and has completed a new LP, Jean Shepherd at the
Limelight, which will soon be released. He's also hard but
happily at work.
