Based on the movie "A
Christmas Story", this book combines the chapters from the two books the
movie was based on - "In God We Trust - All Others Pay Cash" and "Wanda
Hickey's Night of Golden Memories and Other Disasters"
Contrary to what it appears to be,
the book is not a transcript of the screenplay or even close. It is
merely a reprint of the short stories in their original printed
form.
Although Jean Shepherd is listed as
the author, the book was printed 4 years after he passed away and
was put together by the estate. He only wrote the stories contained
in the book. |
