Was Flick's Tongue story inspired by this article?
In the January 27, 1965 article Paul Daly Jr. lived a real life experience that was just like the famous Flick's tongue frozen to the flagpole scene in "A Christmas Story. By coincidence Shep told his first version of Flick's Tongue on January 27, 1968 exactly 3 years to the day after the article appeared.
